So Microsoft Islamaphobic? this can't be true.

I have over the past fewt months watched with increased frustration at the stance much of the Western Media has taken in relation to the unwarranted and unrequired attacks on Islam. First we had these buffoons going around and drawing silly pictures, portraying the Prophet (pbuh) in various negative ways. The media said well this is freedom of Speech. The Governments who are supposed to take a responsibe attitiude agreed to this. They argued, we cannot stop people voicing their 'insulting' views. It is freedom of speech! As Muslims, we were not impressed. We couldn't say a lot and so we kinda decided, forget it! We can't do anything to change their behaviour. The more we insisted that they stop the more adament they were to continue insulting. Like a spoilt child.

So then a few months on negative images and unsubstantiated view related to Islam appear on the internet. Including those cheap cartoons. We can't stop indexing these, the search engines told us! There is freedom of speech to consider. Some countries took it upon themselves to stop access to search engines like 'Google' for a while, such as Pakistan. And ofcourse representatives from the various countries protested, but it was too no avail.

The Wisdom seemed to be that these views were being peddled by a small group of ill advised retarded individuals. Nothing better to do with their time, so well, lets have a dig at Islam. Search Engines, quite irresponsibly, continue to show offensive material at the top of their search results. They pass it off as if they are just presenting the views of the world in some kind of democratic vote and really it is not their problem. All this I may not be too happy with, but have to put up with. It seems that having a dig at muslims has become the world's favourite pastime, thanks to the (very small number) of lunatics who are blowing themselves up for poorly defined reasons and objectives, killing many innocent people.

I was quite schocked when I recently visited a new search engine from Microsoft called MsDewey.com At first glance it seems a really clever and well though out idea. We have an attractive Asian lady, with plenty of wit and personaility keeping us amused whilst search results are returned for our search term. All very well. And in fairness she is a funny lass. Anyhow, when I typed in the word Islamic she made some comment about wanting to be in the desert, with body Armour, and pulled out a MASSIVE GUN. At first I wasn't sure quite what to make of it. I tried other terms and no GUN. I repeated Islamic a number of times and no GUN. But every now and then she would pull out this hude, ridiculously sized GUN. No, I know this is tongue and cheek, but comeon. Here is a picture below:

Well what I wonder to you make of that? What message are Microsoft trying to send by associating a gun and a woman with the word Islamic, and making comments about wanting to go to the desert in Body Armour. Are they suggesting that it is okay to kill Muslims in the Desert? I guess this would be mostly Arabs? Are they suggesting that Islam is a violent religion? Are Microsoft saying that even Asian Ladies with big guns can invade an Arab country? Are thet saying that more muslims need to be shot? It may be tongue in cheek, but more than 600,000 poeple have been killed in Iraq based on a load LIES AND SPIN!! Maybe Microsoft is trying to Poke fun at these dead people? Possibly suggesting that these guys are worthless!! MICROSOFT PLEASE CAN YOU CLARIFY WHAT YOU MEAN BY ASSOCIATING A BIG GUN WITH THE SEARCH TERM ISLAMIC?????

By the way the picture below shows the actual results of the search term.

Microsoft is rubbish anyhow. Their search results are rubbish. Operating system is crap. Internet explorer is about as useful as the Titanic, okay until it hits an iceberg (virus, spyware). Dump it now, down the loo where it belongs and load Forefox as your browser of choice. Click Here

Big BOOOO! to Microsoft
